• 4 large baking apples (such as Honeycrisp, Braeburn, or Gala)
• Adi Apicoltura acacia honey with almonds
• Ground cinnamon
• Vanilla ice cream, for serving
• Butter for greasing pan

1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Lightly butter a baking dish large enough to hold all four apples comfortably upright.
2. Core the Apples: Wash and dry the apples. Using a sharp paring knife or an apple corer, remove the core from each apple, stopping about ½ inch before cutting through the bottom to create a sturdy base. Scoop out any remaining seeds and tough fibers
3. Season with Cinnamon: Sprinkle ground cinnamon evenly directly onto inside of apple based on your personal preference
4. Bake: Bake covered for 20 to 25 minutes. The apples are ready when they are completely tender and easily pierced with a fork, but still holding their shape.
5. Add the Honey and Almond: Spoon the Adi Apicoltura acacia honey with almonds generously into the center of each apple, letting the honey and crunchy almonds fill the cavities.
6. Serve: Transfer the warm baked apples to shallow bowls. Spoon the sweet, spiced pan juices and the toasted almonds from the center generously over the fruit. Add a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream right beside each warm apple to contrast the temperature and richness.
Tips
• Choosing the Right Apple: Firm, crisp apples with a great sweet-tart balance work best. Honeycrisp and Braeburn hold their shape wonderfully in the oven without collapsing into mush.
• Leveling the Base: If your apples are wobbly in the baking dish, slice a microscopic sliver off the very bottom of each apple so they sit completely flat and steady.
• Score the Skin: Lightly score a shallow line around the middle circumference of each apple's skin with a knife. This prevents the skins from splitting open while baking. Place the cored apples into the prepared baking dish.
• Add the Honey-Almond Blend & Butter: Before baking, spoon the Adi Apicoltura acacia honey with almonds generously into the center of each apple, letting the honey and crunchy almonds fill the cavities. Place a cube of butter right on top of the honey and almonds inside each apple.
• Deeply Caramelized Finish: If your oven allows, switch to a low broil for the final 2 minutes of baking to toast the exposed almonds on top to a deep golden brown, keeping a close eye so they don't burn.
